{"id":64361,"date":"2024-10-11T15:52:11","date_gmt":"2024-10-11T14:52:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cxtoday.com\/?p=64361"},"modified":"2025-10-19T10:12:28","modified_gmt":"2025-10-19T09:12:28","slug":"a-critical-part-of-cx-hubspot-to-acquire-cpq-vendor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cxtoday.com\/crm\/a-critical-part-of-cx-hubspot-to-acquire-cpq-vendor\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018A Critical Part of CX\u2019 \u2013 HubSpot to Acquire CPQ Vendor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">HubSpot has revealed plans to acquire subscription billing management and configure, price, quote (CPQ) start-up Cacheflow for an undisclosed amount.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cacheflow will bolster HubSpot\u2019s Commerce Hub product, which has processed $1bn in gross merchandise value since launching in 2023, the latter said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Yamini Rangan, CEO of HubSpot<\/strong>, said: &#8220;We&#8217;ve seen strong year-over-year growth with Commerce Hub, which gives our customers an easy way to manage payments and unify their customer and transaction data.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWith Cacheflow, we&#8217;re doubling down on our vision for commerce by addressing two important areas of the buying experience: subscription billing and configure, price, quote (CPQ).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Cacheflow is a leader in this space and has helped companies automate the purchase process to capture revenue faster. We&#8217;re excited by the impact they will have on customers of Commerce Hub.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cacheflow was founded in early 2021 and left stealth that November, at which point it revealed a $6m seed round. A $10m round led by GV (formerly Google Ventures) followed in 2022.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">HubSpot stated that Cacheflow simplifies B2B software sales and purchases with billing and subscription management solutions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The solution automates the SaaS sales flow process using a single, no-code platform.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Customers can customise quotes, finalise deals using interactive links, and easily upsell and renew customers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Co-founders Sarika Garg<\/strong> and <strong>Brian Zotter<\/strong> previously held senior roles at numerous tech firms, including Salesforce and SAP.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Garg said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe made it our mission to reimagine the old CPQ and billing space, helping businesses automate revenue management, shorten the sales cycle, and get paid fast.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe believe deeply in the power of our solution and are thrilled to join HubSpot and the Commerce Hub team.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>In Other News\u2026<\/h2>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Earlier this week, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cxtoday.com\/crm\/hubspot-introduces-app-cards-to-end-tab-hopping-context-switching\/\">HubSpot introduced its new App Cards<\/a>, which aim to help customers maximise the use of their third-party tools.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">App Cards were first announced at the INBOUND 2024 conference in September. They are designed to replace traditional CRM cards and offer richer app experiences.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These Cards give users more flexibility and customisation in managing data across HubSpot and other platforms, reducing the need for tab-hopping and context-switching.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Earlier in the year, HubSpot was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cxtoday.com\/crm\/sources-google-parent-alphabet-gives-up-on-hubspot-acquisition-pursues-wiz\/\">reportedly an acquisition target of Google owner Alphabet<\/a>, but talks are rumoured to have stalled before talks reached any detailed due diligence.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HubSpot has revealed plans to acquire subscription billing management and configure, price, quote (CPQ) start-up Cacheflow for an undisclosed amount.
