data-contrast=\"auto\">Why is Salesforce Partnering?\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">While the vendor has not confirmed why it is entering into an agreement with CrowdStrike, the numerous cyberattacks directed at its customers in recent months will have undoubtedly played a part.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Several of Salesforce&#8217;s high-profile customers have been the subject of increased data theft and extortion intrusions from cybercrime groups such as ShinyHunters and ScatteredSpider, including Google, Adidas and Farmers Insurance.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cxtoday.com\/crm\/the-google-salesforce-customer-data-breach-what-really-happened\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">This is typically done through social engineering<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, tricking customers into thinking they\u2019re Salesforce&#8217;s customer service or IT support, as well as convincing employees into giving them access to their devices and login credentials.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">This partnership decision also follows from the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cxtoday.com\/crm\/the-fbi-warns-salesforce-customers-of-increasing-cyber-attacks\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">FBI alert<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> on September 12<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">th<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, warning organizations using Salesforce platforms of various cybercriminal groups after reported <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cxtoday.com\/conversational-ai\/the-salesloft-drift-chatbot-is-set-to-go-offline-after-customers-suffer-big-breaches\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">cases of attackers stealing customer tokens on SalesLoft Drift.<\/span><\/a><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Indeed, Salesforce hinted at its recent troubles in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=viOOlfNjxsU&amp;t=1s\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">an interview with theCUBE,<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> where<strong> Marla Hay<\/strong>, <strong>Senior Vice President of Product Management at Salesforce<\/strong>, emphasized that collaborating would be necessary to secure the customer journey into the \u201cagentic
