Enter Ryan Reynolds: actor, investor, Wrexham football club saviour, gin merchant, mobile mogul, and now\u2026 keynote closer. Forget another demo of AI widgets \u2014 Cisco brought in Deadpool himself to torch the stage with humour, honesty, and a few life lessons that felt surprisingly on point for the WebexOne crowd.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"725\" data-end=\"758\">Hollywood Meets the Helpdesk<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"759\" data-end=\"1133\">Reynolds kicked off with a self-own (classic). When asked which role best prepared him for business, he deadpanned: <em data-start=\"875\" data-end=\"918\">\u201cGreen Lantern. Regret builds character.\u201d<\/em> Cue laughter \u2014 but also, point taken. CX leaders know the sting of failure. He spun it into a bigger truth: failure isn\u2019t the villain, wasted failure is. Or in his words: <em data-start=\"1090\" data-end=\"1131\">\u201cMake mistakes, just don\u2019t waste them.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1135\" data-end=\"1316\">If that doesn\u2019t sound like CX transformation in a nutshell \u2014 where customer journeys are patched together like Frankenstein until someone admits the IVR is torture \u2014 nothing does.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1323\" data-end=\"1356\">Constraint is the Superpower<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1357\" data-end=\"1673\">Reynolds\u2019 biggest theme? Constraints. He\u2019s obsessed with them. Budget cuts, tight deadlines, scrappy marketing \u2014 all the stuff enterprise leaders complain about. <em data-start=\"1519\" data-end=\"1569\">\u201cConstraint forces you to think asymmetrically,\u201d<\/em> he said, before mocking studios that throw 50,000 CGI horses at a battle scene just because they can.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1675\" data-end=\"1876\">For CX pros, that\u2019s the reminder that throwing more tech at a problem won\u2019t fix the experience. Sometimes it\u2019s about doing more with six horses \u2014 or in our world, six well-designed customer journeys.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1883\" data-end=\"1908\">Gut vs. Data: Fight!<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1909\" data-end=\"2045\">Reynolds dismantled the myth of data-driven creativity:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"1909\" data-end=\"2045\"><em data-start=\"1965\" data-end=\"2043\">\u201cOur biggest viral hits? Data would\u2019ve killed them. Gut will never go away.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"2047\" data-end=\"2257\">That\u2019s a call-out to every CX leader obsessing over dashboards while ignoring the human. Numbers matter \u2014 but instincts, stories, and emotional connection win loyalty. And that\u2019s what your customers remember.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"2264\" data-end=\"2297\">Deadpool on AI (and Nutella)<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2298\" data-end=\"2578\">Yes, he went there.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"2298\" data-end=\"2578\"><em data-start=\"2318\" data-end=\"2396\">\u201cAI is like Nutella for breakfast \u2014 too much and you\u2019re going to feel sick.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"2298\" data-end=\"2578\">Cue knowing nods across the hall. He loves AI (it cleaned up his ADR when a marching band sabotaged a shoot), but he warned that optimisation without reflection kills originality.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2580\" data-end=\"2753\">For CX? Same lesson. AI chatbots, agent-assist, voice analytics \u2014 great. But if you don\u2019t stop to actually listen to your customer, you\u2019ll optimise yourself into oblivion.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"2760\" data-end=\"2791\">Wrexham, Community, and CX<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2792\" data-end=\"3036\">Reynolds\u2019 most heartfelt moment came when he pivoted to Wrexham AFC:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"2792\" data-end=\"3036\"><em data-start=\"2861\" data-end=\"2911\">\u201cIt\u2019s not about me or Rob.
